San Marcos Men’s Club Hole-in-One Club Rules

1. Purpose

The Hole-in-One Club recognizes members who make a hole-in-one during an eligible San Marcos Men’s Club round and provides the successful golfer with a cash award funded by participating members.

2. Membership

• Participation is voluntary.

• A member joins by paying the current $5 Hole-in-One Club dues.

• A member must be in good standing with the San Marcos Men’s Club.

• Dues must be paid before a hole-in-one is made. Membership cannot be purchased retroactively.

• The club treasurer or designated coordinator will maintain the official membership list.

3. Qualifying Hole-in-One

A hole-in-one qualifies when:

• It is made during an official San Marcos Men’s Club tournament which include Holiday Tournaments, Saturday and Wednesday Competitions

• The round is played under the Rules of Golf.

• The hole is played from the tees assigned for that event.

• The hole measures at least 100 yards from the assigned tee location.

• The score is witnessed and attested by at least one other member of the San Marcos Mens Club playing group.

• The round consists of at least nine holes, exceptions can made for those who are unable to play all holes in a round due to health concerns,

• Temporary greens, practice rounds, mulligans, and shots made after the original ball do not qualify.

4. Award

• When a participating member makes a qualifying hole-in-one, the member will receive the money currently held in the Hole-in-One Club fund.

• If two or more participating members make qualifying holes-in-one on the same day, the available fund will be divided equally among them.

• Payment will be made after the hole-in-one has been verified by the Men’s Club.

5. Replenishing the Fund

• After a qualifying award is paid, each participating member will be asked to pay another $5 to remain in the Hole-in-One Club.

• A member who does not pay the new $5 dues by the announced deadline will be removed from the active membership list.

• Only dues received before the next qualifying hole-in-one will be included in that award.

6. Verification

The golfer must provide:

• The date of the hole-in-one

• The hole number and yardage

• The club used

• A signed or electronically attested scorecard

• The names of the witnesses.

The Men’s Club board or its designated Hole-in-One Club coordinator will determine whether the hole-in-one meets these rules.

7. Administration

• All money collected will be kept separately from the Men’s Club’s general operating funds.

• No administrative fee will be deducted unless approved by the Men’s Club membership.

• The coordinator will periodically report the number of participating members and the current value of the fund.

• Membership dues are nonrefundable.
